TECHREF® Type C-700 Sample Cells are designed and manufactured for use with X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzers for EDXRF and WDXRF Analysis which use industry standard 31-mm sample cells, such as Asoma, Horiba X-5000, Malvern Panalytical (Philips-certain models), Olympus (Innov-X), Rigaku, Shimadzu, Spectro-Ametek, Xcalibur, Xenemetrix and XOS.  For Hitachi/Oxford Analyzers, Type C-700 Sample Cells are used with TECHREF® X-700 Sample Cell System.  See TECHREF® X-700 Sample Cell System for details.

  • TECHREF® Type C-700 Sample Cells are manufactured by an injection-molding process from a virgin low-density polyethylene.
  • Each Sample Cell consists of two parts:
    • A closed-bottom cup plus an outer, open ring which holds and seals the desired film after sample is loaded.
    • There is a fill line in the interior of the cup for consistent sample size.
    • Each ring, cup assembly has a mating locking line to help prevent leakage.
    • For volatile samples, there is a dimple on the cup exterior floor for venting and a reservoir for overflow.
  • Our Sample Cell is designed to produce a flat, tight and wrinkle-free membrane with any customary XRF membrane film product, ours or others.
  • The Type C-700 Sample Cells are fully disposable.
  • They are designed to work well with TECHREF® Type AT-700 Assembly Tool or TECHREF® Type X-700 Sample Cell System. Click here to see the XRF Tools page.
  • TECHREF® Type C-700 Sample Cells are packaged 100 per bag in a re-closable polyethylene bag.  The Type C-700 is sold only by the bag.

Important Notes:

  • Handling of Sample Cells: Avoid touching the inside of the Sample Cell. Oil from fingerprints can affect the reading when analyzing for low levels of sulfur.

  • All XRF Sample Cells present the possibility of leakage, with potential damage to the analytical instrumentation. It is recommended that after the Sample Cell has been loaded with sample and assembled, check for any leaks. The use and application of this product is the sole responsibility of the user.
