TECHREF® Type C-2358® Sample Cells are designed and manufactured specifically for use with X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzers for EDXRF and WDRFX analysis, which use industry standard 48 mm Sample Cells such as Horiba, Sindie®, Bruker and others.

  • TECHREF® recommends our Type H-2358 Sample Cell for the Horiba Carousel/Turntable models newer than the SLFA-920.
  • TECHREF® Type C-2358® Sample Cells are manufactured by an injection-molding process from a virgin low-density polyethylene.
  • Each Sample Cell consists of two parts:
    • A closed-bottom cup plus an outer, open ring which holds and seals the desired film after sample is loaded.
    • There are two fill lines in the interior of the cup for consistent sample size.
    • Each ring, cup assembly has a mating locking line to help prevent leakage.
    • For volatile samples, there is a dimple on the cup exterior floor for venting and a reservoir for overflow.
  • Our Sample Cell is designed to produce a flat, tight and wrinkle-free membrane with any customary XRF membrane film product, ours or others.
  • The Type C-2358® Sample Cell was developed to allow the closest fit to the aperture in XRF analyzers, providing better repeatability during low level analysis.
  • The Type C-2358® Sample Cells are fully disposable.
  • There is no need to disassemble them to recover reusable parts.  They are designed to work well with the aluminum jig tool furnished by Horiba for Horiba analyzers.
  • TECHREF® Type C-2358® Sample Cells are packaged 48 per box in a re-closable chipboard box.  The Type C-2358® Sample Cells are sold by the box only.

Important Notes:

  • Handling of Sample Cells: Avoid touching the inside of the Sample Cell. Oil from fingerprints can affect the reading when analyzing for low levels of sulfur.

  • All XRF Sample Cells present the possibility of leakage, with potential damage to the analytical instrumentation. It is recommended that after the Sample Cell has been loaded with sample and assembled, check for any leaks. The use and application of this product is the sole responsibility of the user.
